Foster & Retired Program
Foster Home Program
Our Foster Home Program is designed to give our breeding girls and boys the best possible quality of life by allowing them to grow up and live in a loving family home from a young age. This is a true partnership program between you and Bouchard Bulldogs — built on trust, communication, and shared values.
How It Works
-
You welcome a young female or male English Bulldog or Frenchie into your home as your family dog.
-
She will have a maximum of 3 litters under our care and supervision.
-
All matings, whelping, and puppy care are done by us in our home — never by the foster family.
-
Males remain part of our breeding program for a limited period, typically up to 6 years, depending on health and structure.
-
When he is needed for stud service, we coordinate short visits — usually a few hours or one to two overnight — handled fully by us.
-
Your role is simply to provide daily love, routine, and a stable home environment.
Types of Dogs Offered for Foster
Depending on timing and availability, we may offer:
-
Young females entering our program
-
Occasional older girls who still have 1–2 litters remaining
-

-
She is yours forever, with no adoption fee
-
Her spay surgery is at your expense with out vet (or arrange with your vet of choice)
-
Full ownership is transferred to you
Males : When His Stud Career Ends
Once his time in our program is complete:
-
He is neutered at your expense
-
Full ownership is permanently transferred to you
-
He remains with your family as your forever dog

Retired Adult Adoption Program
From time to time, we make a small number of retired adults available to approved homes. These girls (and sometimes males) have completed their litters and are ready to enjoy the next chapter of their lives as loved family companions.
What to Expect
-
Adoption fees vary depending on the dog’s age, health, and temperament
-
Most retired adults range from ages 3–7
-
They may be already spayed, or adoptive families can complete the spay after adoption
-
All dogs are evaluated for personality, home compatibility, and lifestyle before placement
Benefits of Adopting a Retired Bulldog
-
They are already mature, calmer, and past the puppy phase
-
Usually house-trained and well-socialized
-
Come from a stable environment with known history and behavior
-
Ideal for families wanting a loving companion without puppy training
Who Is This Program For?
Families who want:
-
A loving adult English Bulldog or Frenchie
-
Lower costs than purchasing a puppy
-
A predictable temperament and known background
-
The chance to offer a dog the perfect forever home after her breeding career
